Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of lockandgo.it and the smart-locker luggage storage service offered by Lock & Go ("we", "the Operator"). By making a booking you fully accept these Terms.
1. The service
Lock & Go provides automated lockers for the temporary storage of luggage and personal belongings at the locations listed on the site. Access to the locker is granted via a digital code received after the booking is confirmed.
2. Booking
- Bookings are made online by selecting a location, compartment size, date and time slot.
- A booking is confirmed only once payment is completed; you will receive a confirmation email with access instructions.
- The booking is personal and covers only the selected period.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are stated in euros, VAT included, and shown before the order is confirmed.
- Payment is made online via Stripe using the methods available at checkout. We do not store your card details.
- Failure to collect your luggage within the booked time slot may result in additional charges proportional to the extra time, according to the published rates.
4. Cancellations and refunds
- You may cancel your booking up to the start of the booked time slot; in that case we will fully refund the amount paid to the original payment method.
- No refunds are provided for cancellations after the start of the time slot or for unused lockers.
- If the service is unavailable for reasons attributable to us, you will receive a full refund.
5. Proper use of the locker
You agree to:
- not exceed the compartment's maximum size and weight;
- keep your access code confidential and not share it with third parties;
- empty the compartment by the end of the booked period.
6. Prohibited items
The following may not be stored in the lockers:
- dangerous, flammable, explosive or illegal substances;
- weapons and ammunition;
- animals or living beings;
- perishable food;
- cash, jewellery and items worth more than the insurance coverage;
- any item whose possession is prohibited by law.
The Operator reserves the right to open the compartment and remove its contents, including with the involvement of the competent authorities, where there is a reasonable suspicion of a violation.
7. Liability and insurance
- Stored luggage is covered by insurance up to €3,000 per compartment, subject to the conditions of the applicable policy.
- The Operator is not liable for damage resulting from improper use of the locker, breach of these Terms or storage of prohibited items.
- The Operator is not liable for items left in the compartment beyond the booked period, without prejudice to statutory storage obligations.
8. Uncollected luggage
If 48 hours pass after the end of the booked period without collection or contact from the user, the contents of the compartment may be removed and stored at the user's expense. Once the statutory periods have elapsed, the rules on unclaimed property will apply.
9. Account
You may create an account to manage your bookings. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through your account. We may suspend accounts used in breach of these Terms.
10. Intellectual property
All site content (text, logos, images, software) is owned by Lock & Go or its respective owners and may not be reproduced without authorisation.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes apply to bookings made after publication. The current version is always available on this page.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile have jurisdiction; in all other cases the Court of Milan has exclusive jurisdiction. You may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
